Tomal Turnkey Solutions: complete systems for preparation of slurry and solution
Tomal Turnkey Solutions are fully automatic systems for the preparation and dosing of slurry or solution from powder chemicals. The systems are designed for water treatment, both drinking water and wastewater. There are three standard models: two for slurry and one for solution, with big bag or small bag. The design is pre-engineered, providing short manufacturing time and fast delivery.
Same basis in all models
All models are based on Tomal’s volumetric multi-screw feeder, a preparation tank with an agitator, and a frequency-controlled dosing pump. Everything is controlled from a PLC cabinet with a touch screen. The chemical is emptied from the bag, dosed with ±1 % accuracy, mixed with water, and dosed to the injection point.

Slurry or solution?
This is determined by the chemical. PAC and lime, for example, are prepared as slurry and dosed directly from the preparation tank. Soda and aluminum sulfate are prepared as a solution and first transferred to a separate dosing tank.
Three standard models
Slurry with big bag
For slurry from big bags up to 1,200 kg. The big bag is hung in a frame with a built-in electric hoist and connected to a dust-free docking system with a dust filter. A vibrator ensures the chemical is emptied effectively. The slurry is mixed in the preparation tank and then dosed to the injection point.

Slurry with small bag
For slurry when the chemical comes in smaller bags up to 30 kg. The bags are emptied into a small bag discharger connected to an air evacuation filter for dust control. The unit is easy to refill and the bags are easy to handle. The slurry is mixed in the preparation tank and then dosed to the injection point.

Solution with big bag
For chemicals prepared as a solution, from big bags up to 1,200 kg. The big bag is handled as in the slurry model, with a frame, hoist, and dust-free docking system. The solution is prepared in the preparation tank and transferred batch-wise to a dosing tank with a transfer pump. From there, it is dosed to the injection point.

How Turnkey solutions work
All three models follow the same flow. The solution model has an extra step.
1. Emptying the bag
The chemical is emptied from a big bag or small bag. Air is evacuated via a filter so that handling is dust-free.
2. Dosing of powder
Tomal’s volumetric multi-screw feeder discharges the chemical evenly and linearly with ±1 % accuracy.
3. Preparation
In the preparation tank, the powder is mixed with water. The tank has an agitator, dust separator, level sensor, and water connections.
4. Transfer (solution only)
The solution is transferred batch-wise to the dosing tank with a transfer pump.
5. Dosing to the injection point
A frequency-controlled dosing pump doses the slurry or solution to the injection point. The entire system is controlled from a PLC cabinet with a Siemens 7″ touch screen.
