Tomal has developed a multi-screw feeder for wood powder adapted for 9.2 bar, which is the P-max for wood powder.

Our client is WTS and the end customer is Zilkha Biomass Energy LLC in Houston, Texas.

The feeder is developed in close cooperation with WTS and will feed wood powder to a gas turbine burner.

The dosing unit is adapted for an electrical capacity of the gas turbine equivalent to 1.5 MW.

Capacity: 2-10 m3 wood powder/hour.

Design pressure: 9,2 bar (P-max for wood powder at dust explosion).

Normal working pressure: 3.7 bar. Working temperature: 10-221 degrees Celsius.

Inlet: ASME 24″. Connection for pneumatic transportation: ASME 3″. Weight: 1500 kg.
